Éxxita will create the first HUB of Green Technology and Circular Economy in Spain.
Sustainability in the technology sector is a goal marked in the DNA of Éxxita Be Circular. For this reason, the company has decided to take a step forward in its intelligent and sustainable proposal with the creation of the first Green Technology and Circular Economy HUB in Spain.
The center will be located in an area of 10,000m2 in Bollullos de la Mitación (Seville), and aims to provide the sustainable and circular response that the technology sector needs, placing the focus on the recovery of electrical and electronic devices in general. The challenge is great, since technology has become a transversal element of our lives and the Internet of Things is generating a large ecosystem of connected elements in our daily lives to which it is necessary to give a new approach based on the recovery and subsequent reuse in order not to swell the volumes of waste known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
"We are very excited about this project, which we consider strategic both for the company and for an increasingly technological society in which we need to definitively promote recovery and reuse, and thus achieve more sustainable, circular models with less impact on the environment. Society and the planet are telling us that the time is now. It is a challenge we cannot look away from," says Alejandro Costa, CEO and Founder of the company.
Éxxita Be Circular aims for this new HUB to become a reference in Spain, with plans to reach one million recovered devices per year. In this regard, it should be noted that several autonomous communities with significant business drive, or top-level industrial groups, have already expressed interest in this pioneering infrastructure in the country. The HUB is scheduled to open in 2023.
